The quick cut swing back blade system is designed to protect the crankshaft from damage should the blade strike a solid obj ect. When used in side-discharge mode (great for long grass), clippings are ejected via Masport’s Smart Chute, which spreads them evenly, without clumping; while in mulching-mode, clippings are held under the deck, shredded and then returned to the lawn.
