The MHCC1002E is EGO's entry point into the multi-tool system: one PH1400E power head, a 51cm hedge trimmer attachment and a 25cm pole saw attachment, all running off the same 56V battery. If you have hedges to cut and branches to take down, it saves buying and storing two separate machines.
The kit comes with the 2.5Ah BA1400T battery and the CH5500E rapid charger rather than the standard unit, so a flat battery is back to full in 30 minutes. With the power head fitted, the hedge trimmer attachment gives you 2.5m of total reach and 12 cutting angles, which is what you want for the tops of hedges you would otherwise need steps for. The pole saw runs a 25cm bar at 15m/s.
The honest limitation is the one every multi-tool shares: there is a single power head, so you do one job at a time and swap attachments in between. If a hedge trimmer is all you need, a dedicated HT2001E or HT2411E is quicker to pick up and cheaper to buy. This kit earns its keep when you will genuinely use both heads, and more so if you later add the STA1500 line trimmer or CTA9500 cultivator to the same power head.
Folded, it is 99cm long and fits EGO's BMH1000 multi-tool bag. Supplied with the PH1400E power head, HTA2000 hedge trimmer attachment, PSA1000 pole saw attachment, BA1400T 2.5Ah battery and CH5500E rapid charger. EGO cover it with a 5-year domestic warranty, or 2 years in professional use.
