The EGO LM1711E is the LM1710E 42cm push mower supplied ready to go with a 2.5Ah ARC Lithium battery and standard charger. It is sized for a small lawn, and the 2.5Ah pack is matched to that. If your lawn is nearer the medium end, a larger battery is worth considering, and we can advise on which.
We see a lot of people move to EGO from an older petrol mower. There is no fuel, oil or pull-start, and the battery fits every EGO 56V tool, so the pack in this kit will also run a trimmer or hedgecutter if you add one later. The polymer deck is lighter than steel and will not rust, so it should outlast one.
It is a push model for flat or gently sloping lawns; on a steeper garden the self-propelled LM1712ESP kit is the better buy. The honest trade-off against petrol is remembering to put the battery on charge when you finish, rather than topping up a tank. EGO back the mower with a five-year domestic warranty.
