The EGO LM1712ESP is the 42cm self-propelled LM1710ESP supplied with a 4Ah ARC Lithium battery and standard charger. It suits a small to medium lawn with a slope, and the 4Ah pack gives more cutting per charge than the 2.5Ah battery in the push kit.
It is a common choice for people replacing an older petrol self-propelled mower: no fuel, no servicing, and a battery that fits the whole EGO 56V range, so the pack also runs a trimmer, blower or hedgecutter. The polymer deck is lighter than steel and will not rust.
If your lawn is flat, the push LM1711E kit costs less and does the same cut. The 4Ah battery is the sensible minimum for a self-propelled 42cm, because the drive and blade share it; if your lawn is nearer medium, a second pack saves waiting for a recharge.
