The LBPX1100 is the most powerful blower in EGO's range and sits at the top of the Pro X line, which is aimed at grounds crews, landscapers and garden maintenance contractors. It runs on two EGO 56V batteries at once (EGO calls this Peak Power) and produces up to 36N of blowing force and 1,870m³/h of air. Those are the figures to compare against a large petrol backpack.
The two batteries slot into either side of the padded harness, so the weight sits evenly across your back. An LCD screen shows operating status and remaining charge, LED lights help on dark winter afternoons, and the IPX5 rating covers working in the rain. Like other new Pro X tools it has Bluetooth built in for checking firmware, battery capacity and run times.
The trade-off is weight and cost: it's 9.6kg before batteries and needs two of them. For a home garden the LB6000E backpack is lighter and far cheaper, and the LBPX8000 is the lighter Pro X option at 1,360m³/h. Warranty is 5 years domestic and 3 years professional.
