The EGO LM2021E-SP sits in the middle of EGO's self-propelled range: a 50cm cut that covers more ground per pass than the 47cm LM1903ESP below it, without stepping up to the larger 52cm LM2135E-SP. It runs on the same 56V platform as the rest of EGO's cordless kit, so if you already own their batteries you can keep mowing while one charges. Supplied with a 5.0Ah battery and rapid charger, EGO rate it at up to 700m² on a single charge, enough for most medium to larger gardens in one go.

Rear-wheel self-propelled drive with automatic variable speed does the walking for you, so slopes and longer sessions stop being hard work. The steel deck is 3-in-1: bag into the 60L collector, mulch back into the lawn, or side discharge when the grass is long. It is a substantial machine at 27kg, and the telescopic handle folds flat to store it upright against a wall.

Worth being straight about: on the same 5.0Ah battery, the wider deck buys you fewer passes to finish rather than a longer run time. Where the 50cm earns its place is open medium-to-large lawns, where the extra width and the drive save real time; for smaller or fiddly gardens the narrower decks are easier to place.
