The Mountfield SP42 is a self-propelled petrol mower for small to medium lawns of up to around 1,000 m². A robust steel deck and 41 cm cutting width make it a capable, dependable mower, while the self-propelled rear-wheel drive makes light work of slopes and longer runs.
It offers three ways to deal with clippings — collect into the roomy 60-litre hybrid bag (with a bag-full indicator), mulch using the supplied plug to feed the lawn, or rear-discharge. Powered by a reliable 123 cc STIGA ST 120 Autochoke engine, with six cutting heights and fold-down handlebars for easy storage.
