The EGO LM1700E is a 42cm cordless push mower for a small lawn, sold as the bare tool for anyone who already has an EGO 56V battery. If you are new to EGO, or would rather have the battery and charger in the box, buy the LM1701E kit instead: it is this same mower with a 2.5Ah battery and charger. Either way you get a polymer deck, seven cutting heights from 20 to 80mm and a 55L bag.
EGO have since updated it as the LM1710E, which adds an LED dashboard and three blade speeds. If you don't need those, the LM1700E is the simpler machine: push-button start and a single blade speed.
It is a push mower for flat or gently sloping lawns. As a bare tool, run time depends on the battery you fit: the 2.5Ah pack in the LM1701E kit gives about 25 minutes, so on anything beyond a small lawn a 4Ah or larger pack is worth having. EGO back it with a five-year domestic warranty.
